Now I Lay Down Image provided by Magpie Tales |
Now I Lay Down
to awake
no more.
Mother Earth
to embrace me
forever.
Prepare me a grave
to comfort my bones
safe from all
harm
already
endured.
Decorate my mortal remains
with flowers
and vines
to speed my
passage
to earth.
Lay me down
in peace
and celebration
I have gone
before
you.
