ReplyDeleteFabulous! I almost, almost went down the Watergate route (I was looking up Deep Throat when another idea came to mind). A great piece of poetry - the repetition of 'One maniac' in each stanza worked so well.
ReplyDeleteCleverly done and quite meaningful.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant pauses. I was left feeling the holes...
ReplyDeleteI love where you took this prompt... strong and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHES NOT A CROOK. lol
ReplyDeleteNice spin on the prompt!
ReplyDeleteI love the power of the image around emptiness and the impact of those 18 minutes which have been erased but still echo. A great read.
ReplyDeleteI like the image of everything coming from this absence - those 18 minutes have been erased but they still exist in a sort of negative space. Great read.
ReplyDeleteClever! I like the way it is related to a historical event. Very Cool!!
ReplyDeleteVery good! Would you call that "Much Ado About Nothing"?
ReplyDeleteI wondered if someone would travel down this road. I thought about it. Great writing!
ReplyDeletePresident Nixon did have quite a bit of tape to untangle but he got reeled in eventually.
ReplyDeleteHad my first go at this recently - great how I am seeing so many variations a simple tape recorder inspires ~ Eddie
