Details

Still Life, 1670, detail by Jean François de Le Motte

Details

Where?
Not here.
Oh, why did I keep that?
Trash.

Drawer?
Not there.
Upstairs or down?
Gone.

Last seen
Coming in
Through the back door or front?
Going out.

Last Place?
No earlier
Made sense at the time.
Surely.

A detail
misplaced
In one of the great places to remember
Where it would be.

  3. Ugh I hate it when I cant find what I am looking for, but it is very easy to fill the drawers of what not…and to some it may be trash but…

  4. BTW, Brian, I still have not found what I was looking for. That search started before I viewed the Magpie Prompt as a diversion and goes on still.

  5. I really like this style. So good to keep it tight.

  6. This really struck a chord- I’ve misplaced the card I bought for my son’s birthday and it’s driving me mad! The staccato lines make me think of my own frantic search.

  7. I can never find something if I put it in a special place...

  8. Too many special places...makes it all so confusing sometimes!

  11. My "special places" are often rather difficult to find. And my husbands are even more so!

    Enjoyed this!
