Magpie Tale 276 - Evening Watch

Midsummer Night's Melancholy by Michael Sowa
Photographic prompt by Magpie Tales: May 276

Evening Watch

Listening
after a long day
alone
For the sound of their people
returning
from a day at the beach.

Waiting
for their humans
silently
As the long day
lengthens
into night in a strange house.

  2. Patience is a virtue I'm told. Not blessed with it myself, but my cats seem to be - fortunately!

  3. They wait, they greet and they are overjoyed to see you......providing you haven't been away for too long!
