Slipping Away

Slipping away

As the sail boat
sunk
She tried to remember
What it was her father had said
about floating.

It had been so easy
floating
In a Fiesta Blue pool
Where she could so easily put her feet
on the firm bottom.

But it was all
slipping
Everything she knew about floating
Gone
With the ship slipping to the bottom.

  5. I love the "fiesta blue pool." It reminds me a little of childhood pool parties and swimming in the backyard, when we were safe.

This one was a little scary. Well done!
